How do I get started?
First contact us. Once we have established this could be beneficial for you, basic labs including hormone levels will be run at a local lab. On the day of your appointment, the doctor will discuss the results of your blood tests with you and prescribe the right amount of hormone for your unique needs.
What delivery options are available for BHRT?
Cream/Pills: depending on labs and symptoms, we can prescribe bio-identical creams and pills. You will start noticing a difference in as little as two weeks, sometimes sooner!
Pellets: The small hormone pellets are slipped under the skin, typically in the hip. A mild local anesthetic is used and the procedure takes less than five minutes. Once the pellets are inserted, a steady, low dose of natural hormone flows directly into the blood stream whenever the body needs it. A woman’s body can then control the release of the hormone just as it did when the ovaries were working normally. Repeat treatments involve a brief visit to our clinic a few times per year.
Both delivery options come with similar outcomes! Choose what works for you!
Why has my doctor not suggested hormone therapy as an option?
The majority of physician training is on synthetic hormones. Most likely, your doctor was never trained in the use of bio-identical hormones.
